Straight answers

Payment processing is complicated. Your explanation shouldn’t be.

These are the questions merchants usually need answered before comparing providers.

Is Derived a payment processor?

No. Derived is an independent payments and POS advisor. We compare available providers and explain the tradeoffs so you can choose the setup that fits your business.

What is a merchant statement audit?

A statement audit reviews a recent processing statement to identify your effective rate, processor markup, recurring charges, and other fees. Derived then explains the findings and any comparable alternatives.

Do I need to replace my POS system to lower processing costs?

Not always. Depending on your existing hardware, software, processor agreement, and business needs, a better fit may involve changing pricing, changing providers, replacing equipment, or keeping the system you already have.

How much does a consultation cost?

Derived does not charge merchants for the initial comparison, statement review, or consultation. If you select a provider through Derived, compensation may be paid by that provider and should be disclosed before you commit.
